About The Experience
My best friend and I went to the Van Gogh exhibit in Washington, D.C. It was so unique that I will never forget it. Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience is wild and unreal, to say the least. You'll feel like you're in a dream, or on a "trip" once surrounded and engulfed by the visuals. Hippie's beware!! 😜
The D.C. space featured 360 degree projections of Van Gogh's most compelling works, displayed on two-story, floor-to-ceiling screens throughout 20,000 square feet! I have to say, the team that put this together did an incredible job.
The visual effects that transform and morph different pieces together are absolutely INSANE. Yes - all these pictures are in the same room!!! I've never seen anything like it. When you go, be sure to check out all four walls to get the full 360 degree effect.
The experience is designed to make you feel like you stepped into some of Van Gogh's most famous paintings. The exhibit also provides great background about Van Gogh's personal life, including a "day in the life of the Artist," as well as providing details and insights about his key works. Without spilling the details, I can say you will be absolutely fascinated!
Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience is fantastic for any age. We saw plenty of kids just as wide-eyed and in awe as us! No matter how old you are, you can appreciate the hard work that was put in to making this an incredible experience. I can't imagine a cooler way to experience Van Gogh's art.
