Whether you've seen it in a movie or in real life, you're probably familiar with historic Route 66. This infamous road starts in Illinois and stretches over 2,000 miles into California. Many people roadtrip down memory lane by motorcycle or in classic cars. I however, chose my vehicle of choice and took my Jeep!
As of the end of 2019, I've hit almost every mile of it, just not consecutively. Some of my favorite places along the route from are Chicago, St. Louis, Oklahoma City, Amarillo, Albuquerque, Flagstaff, San Bernardino, and Los Angeles.
There are so many other cool places along this historic road that I loved as well, so I suggest seeing parts of it even if you can't see it all at once. Since Route 66 passes through eight states, you can adventure through these cool places by doing mini-roadtrips or planning the time to ride it from start to finish.
Now matter how much of this cool road you see, you're sure to have memories to last a lifetime. Have you been on Route 66? If so, what was your favorite part? Comment below to share!
