So In Love With Sedona

Sedona is the holy-mecca of awesomeness when it comes to red rocks in Arizona. This place is stunning... and that's not even doing it justice. Here you can find tons of hiking, offroading, mountain biking, and just about any kind of outdoor activity you can think of. There is something here for everyone.

Getting lost in the mountains of Sedona was amazing (except for the part where we somewhat guessed our way out of the wilderness in the dark!) There are tons of trails to hike, including some that take you to summits towering over 6,500 feet above the ground.

Sedona is such a peaceful place and the scenery is to die for. The red rocks are unreal, especially when the light hits them just right. During my time here, I adventured down some trails on foot and in the Jeep, and caught some stellar sunsets along the way.

One of my favorite hikes was to the Devil's Bridge in Sedona. You can take the 4x4 road down to the trailhead, or hike a roundabout way around for some different vantage points, then walk down the 4x4 trail and go to the trailhead.

Jeeping makes it much faster and you can park right at the trailhead. The image above is the Jeep trail, and I highly recommend it! The roundabout way offers some great sights of the surrounding areas, so take your pick of adventure.

Once you get to the trailhead, it's a bit strenuous if you're not used to hiking in the mountains (see the pictures above and below of what the trail looks like). We ended up taking too much time at the top and had to hike down it in the dark! That being said, make sure you always carry extra supplies and let someone know where you are hiking before you leave. It's always better to be safe than sorry.

The hike may be a tough one if you're not used to it, but trust me the view from the top is worth it! The way up is also super pretty. Once you're starting to feel the burn, you'll come this awesome viewpoint in the picture below. As cool as this is, you have to keep going to make it to the bridge at the top, even if your feet are begging you not to. You'll be so happy you did!

If you want to have some Jeep fun, hit up the Broken Arrow trail for some stellar views. The trail is a favorite among Jeepers because the scenery is unreal. It's one of the most fun trails you can hit in the country in my opinion.

Sedona has been the setting of tons of Western films. The desert town is a such a beautiful place to visit year-round. This is also where you've seen the Pink Jeep Tours! I loved seeing people have a great time Jeeping. Once the sun sets, be sure to glance up at the stars. Sedona is known for its clear night sky and epic views.

Another fun place to check out about 40 minutes or so from Sedona is Jerome. The ghost town of Jerome tells the tales of years long past. If you're into hauntings, you can stay at a bed and breakfast here or even go on a ghost tour. For those who are a bit less brave, there is still plenty of fun to be had in this mountain town that isn't so spooky.

Outside of the cities you can find countless ways to have fun in nature. I loved seeing all the cool rock formations as I explored the Sedona area. What are some fun things you like to do here?
